MIANGUE: "PIOLI GIVES US GREAT CONFIDENCE"

The Nerazzurri defender spoke about the team’s new coach after the 2-1 win in a training game against Chiasso

APPIANO GENTILE – Following Inter’s training match this morning against Chiasso, Senna Miangue – who scored the winning goal – offered up some of his thoughts as he spoke to Inter Channel.

"It’s always nice to score, even though this wasn’t a competitive fixture. It’s also the first I’ve scored, so I can only be happy with that," he said.

"[Jonathan] Biabiany played in a wonderful cross. I was there at the right time and I got the ball on target."

The game was Miangue’s first under the stewardship of Stefano Pioli and the Belgian defender was full of praise for Inter’s new head coach.

"It was a great experience. He’s a fantastic coach. He speaks a lot with the players and gives us great confidence. I like him."

The 19-year-old said he’s also looking forward to what the rest of the season has in store.

"The fact I made my Serie A debut was an incredible feeling. I’ll keep going, training and always giving 100%. I will try and make sure I’m always ready to perform when called upon. Then we’ll see what happens…"
