MILAN – It's Roma v Inter at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, a fixture that rarely fails to produce fireworks.
Ahead of the latest instalment in this famous contest, we've gone into the archives and dug out a 4-1 thrashing for the Nerazzurri from 2007/08 in this week's #ThrowbackThursday.
Nine years ago today, Roberto Mancini's Inter silenced the Giallorossi half of the capital with a tremendous performance that lifted the club to top of the league. Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring from the penalty spot before the hosts hit back with a Simone Perrotta strike in the 54th minute.
Just four minutes later, the Nerazzurri struck two lightning blows to kill off the contest, first Hernan Crespo with a sideways volley and then Julio Cruz with a drilled shot from outside the area. The fourth goal came in the 68th minute when Ivan Cordoba headed in at the back post.
