MILAN - It was a successful first year at Inter for Rey Manaj, who made his first-team debut at the age of 18 and went on to play a big part in the Primavera's Coppa Italia triumph.
Having joined the club in the summer, the Albanian forward was immediately promoted to the first team and came on as a late substitute in Inter's opening-day win over Atalanta.
He then made his full debut in a 3-0 Coppa Italia victory against Cagliari in December.
Yet it was in the latter part of the year when the youngster really came to the fore as he started banging in the goals for the Primavera. A brace against Lazio in the U19 Coppa Italia semi-final and his decisive strike in the final against Juventus helped our youth side claim the trophy.
