MILAN – On the day when social media pauses to remember something special from the past, expressed using the hashtags #TBT and #ThrowbackThursday, we've come up with the anniversary of the club's fifth Scudetto triumph on 2 June 1940.
The Nerazzurri secured the title exactly 76 years ago on the last day of the season thanks to a 1-0 victory against Bologna. The 1939/40 league season was a record-breaking year for Inter who recorded a new high of 20 wins in a 16-team championship.
