BIABIANY ON SEASON REVIEW

The French forward speaking to Inter Channel: "Very emotional starting again with Inter. Even putting on the training shirt made me happy"

APPIANO GENTILE – The season just gone was extremely important for Jonathan Biabiany, who made his return to the team after being plagued with fitness problems.

The Frenchman had the opportunity to revisit 2015/16 in the Inter Channel studios for Season Review.

"It was really emotional starting again with Inter, where it all began for me in Italy," Biabiany revealed. "Merely getting back to training was a source of great joy for me: I couldn't wait to get back on track.

"I had to focus on specific things at the start, so it wasn't east watching my team-mates work with the ball and not being able to join in. My aim was to get back to fitness as soon as possible. Even wearing the training shirt made me happy."

Biabiany made his first-team return during Inter v Verona: "When the coach said my name, I was overwhelmed with joy. I had so much desire to play but when I came on, I put the emotion to one side and I tried to do my best."

It took a few before games before the French winger was able to break into the starting line-up and his chance finally came against Frosinone: "It was my first start in a year and it definitely couldn't have gone better. I scored and we strolled to victory. Everything was perfect.

"Afterwards I would often make substitute appearances, which for me is a sign of trust. I try to make sure I'm always ready and I follow the game closely even when I'm on the bench, so I understand what I need to do when I come on.

"A game of football is in constant flux and you can make the most of the little details in order to win a game. On the other hand, you just need one moment when you lose attention and you'll be punished."
