MILAN - Inter edged the top-of-the-table match in Week 25 of the Under-17 Lega Pro championship. Benoit Cauet's kids beat Atalanta 1-0, finishing the regular season in first place with a week to spare.
The first half was intense with both sides fashioning one clear-cut chance. Merola went close to opening the scoring for Inter but the opposition keeper denied him. The second period was similarly even but Schiró eventually broke the deadlock to secure the three points after fine work from Gnoukouri.
