VERONA – Inter Under 17 Serie A e B have picked up a win on the road against Chievo Verona in the penultimate game of the league season.
After a tough opening 20 minutes in which the hosts came close to taking the lead on a number of occasions, Gianmario Corti's boys broke the deadlock in the 28th minute through Luca Kerin.
The two sides exchanged blows at the beginning of the second half: Matteo Rover replying to the Venetians' equaliser and restoring Inter's lead.
The Nerazzurri did well to protect the scoreline and killed off the game half an hour into the second half through Marco Sala.
The win ensures Corti's side are mathematically guaranteed to finish in top spot before the play-offs.
