MILAN – Salvatore Cerrone’s Berretti side inflicted on 3-1 defeat on Lucchese on Saturday afternoon to move up to 62 points for the season and tighten their stranglehold on top spot.
There were no goals in the first half, despite the Nerazzurri creating a number of chances to score. And it was Lucchese who struck first after the break, catching the Inter defence off guard with a rapid counter-attack.
Cerrone’s lads rallied quickly, however, with Lizzola bagging the equaliser just five minutes later, before Braidich struck in the 80th and 93rd minutes to secure the three points for Inter.
