MILAN - There's not long to go until Roma and Inter go toe to toe at the Stadio Olimpio on Saturday evening as part of Serie A's 30th round of matches this season (20:45 CET kick-off).

As always, we've teamed up with Opta to bring you a comprehensive round-up of all the need-to-know stats ahead of the big match. Enjoy!

HEAD TO HEAD

Saturday will see the 166th league meeting between Inter and Roma. As things stand, the Nerazzurri have the better of the record with 71 wins, 47 draws and 47 losses.

Inter have won their last two Serie A matches against Roma, having previously gone seven games without beating the Giallorossi (four Roma wins, three draws).

Roma failed to score in the reverse fixture at San Siro earlier in this season: the last time the Giallorossi drew consecutive blanks against Inter was back in the 1991/92 season.

A 0-0 draw is the most common final scoreline when these two teams face off in the league. It's come up 20 times, most recently at the Stadio Olimpico in March 2014.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS IN ROME

Inter and Roma have played a total of 82 times in the Italian capital. Of those 82, the record reads 33 Giallorossi wins, 22 draws and 27 Nerazzurri victories.

Roma are unbeaten against Inter in six home matches (four wins and two draws). Their last home defeat against the Nerazzurri came back on 19 October 2008 as Inter served up a comprehensive 4-0 victory courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic double and goals from Dejan Stankovic and Victor Obinna.

Roma have put four past Inter twice in the Nerazzurri's last four visits to the Stadio Olimpico: the 4-0 home win in February 2012 (thanks to a Fabio Borini brace and one apiece from Juan and Bojan) and the 4-2 Giallorossi victory last season.

FORM BOOK

The Giallorossi are currently on an eight-match winning streak, the longest ongoing run of any team in Serie A. In 2014, Roma made it nine consecutive wins with victory over AC Milan before getting beaten 4-1 by Cagliari in Sardinia.

Roma have conceded just six goals in those eight wins and never more than one goal in a single game. Meanwhile, they've scored a total of 24 goals in the same period for an average goals-per-game ratio of three.

Roma are unbeaten in seven home games and have won all of their last four at the Stadio Olimpico. Those four wins have seen the Giallorossi score 14 goals (an average of 3.5 per game).

Inter have won three and lost two of their last five league games. The Nerazzurri haven't drawn a game since 7 February's 3-3 draw with Hellas Verona.

Roberto Mancini's side haven't won an away game since the 1-0 win at Empoli on 6 January. Their last five away trips have generated two draws and three defeats, with the Nerazzurri conceding 11 goals along the way (an average of 2.2 per game).

GENERAL STATISTICS

Roma are Serie A's most prolific scorers with 61 goals. They also have the best shots-to-goal ratio: 19%.

The Giallorossi have also had the highest number of different scorers this season (18) and are the side that has hit the woodwork the most times (13).

Luciano Spalletti's side are the league's highest scorers in the first 15 minutes of the game (11 goals), in the first half (28 goals) and in the second half (33).

Only Hellas Verona have scored more goals from set pieces than Roma (17 versus 16). Inter, meanwhile, are the league's highest scorers from corners with seven goals - a tally shared by crosstown rivals AC Milan.

Only Lazio (190) have had more corners than Inter (185) and Roma (169) this season.

Saturday night will see third (Inter, 27 goals conceded) play fourth (Roma, 30 goals conceded) in terms of the best defences in the league. The Giallorossi have only conceded three headed goals this season, a tally bettered only by Juventus and AC Milan, both of whom are on two.

Both Inter and Roma have conceded just ten first-half goals this season. Only Bologna and Juventus have done better (7).

The Giallorossi have conceded just one goal before the 15-minute mark this season. Bologna once again pip them to the post, however, having conceded no goals whatsoever in that period of the game.

Roma have gone behind fewer times than any other Serie A team this season (7). However, like Inter (who have fallen behind on ten occasions), they've never managed to recover from a losing position to win.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT

Miralem Pjanic scored his second - and most recent - Serie A brace in Roma's 4-2 defeat of Inter on November 2014. The Bosnian is top of the Serie A assist charts on ten (level with Lorenzo Insigne) and second in terms of chances created (64 behind Marek Hamsik on 67). The Giallorossi midfielder has also scored nine times - a goal tonight would see him reach double figures for both assists and goals in a single Serie A season for the first time in his spell at Roma.

Pjanic and Diego Perotti are the league's leading assist makers in 2016 with five apiece. Since Perotti's arrival in the winter transfer window, his Serie A record reads an impressive seven wins from seven games played.

Edin Dzeko has scored four goals in his last six appearances, making two assists to boot: all of these goals have come in games the Bosnian striker has started. He failed to score in the three games he came off the bench.

Mohamed Salah has had a hand in nine Roma goals in his last five appearances, scoring five and making four assists. Only Gonzalo Higuain has more league goals than the Egyptian in 2016 (11 versus six). Salah has already condemned the Nerazzurri to defeat once before, scoring the only goal in Fiorentina's 1-0 win at San Siro in March 2015.

Stephan El Shaarawy has scored five goals and laid on two assists for team-mates in his last seven games. Moreover, Il Faraone has played a part in more goals in his last seven games for Roma than he did in the entirety of his last two and half seasons at AC Milan (24 appearances, three goals, three assists) and Monaco (15 appearances, no goals, no assists). El Shaarawy knows what it feels like to score against Inter, having done so in the 1-1 draw between the Nerazzurri and AC Milan on 24 February 2013.

Eder is still without a goal for Inter. He scored 12 goals and provided two assists in his 19 appearances for Sampdoria earlier in the season, but has thus far been unable to find the net or make an assist in black and blue (seven appearances, 491 minutes played).

Alessandro Florenzi has scored two goals against Inter, including his first ever in Serie A back in September 2012.

Radja Nainggolan made his Serie A debut for Cagliari in their 3-0 defeat by Inter in February 2010.

Maicon spent six successful years with Inter between 2006 and 2012, during which time the Brazilian made 177 appearances and scored 16 goals in Serie A (four Scudetti, one Champions League, three Italian Super Cups, two Coppa Italias and one FIFA Club World Cup).

Gary Medel scored the winning goal in the reverse fixture earlier this season as Inter won 1-0 at San Siro. It's the Chilean's only goal in Serie A thus far.

Rodrigo Palacio made his Serie A debut in Genoa's 3-2 defeat of Roma in August 2009. The Argentine has scored three goals in 12 Serie A matches against the Giallorossi - two for Genoa, one for Inter.

Mauro Icardi also made his Serie A debut against the Giallorossi back in September 2012. Icardi has scored two goals against Roma, including the 88th-minute winner in Inter's 2-1 defeat of Roma in April 2015.

Icardi has scored four times in his last seven games, with just one of these coming on the road. Looking at his scoring record from a season-long standpoint, Icardi has scored six at home and six away.

Ivan Perisic has scored two goals in two league games as well as providing an assist for Adem Ljajic in the match against Palermo. It means the Croat has had an active role in three of Inter's last five goals.

Jonathan Biabiany has scored in each of his last two games against Roma, both of which came during his time with Parma in the 2013/14 season.

Adem Ljajic is on loan from Roma, having joined the club in 2013. Ljajic has scored 14 goals in 61 Serie A games.

IN THE DUGOUT

Saturday night will be Luciano Spalletti's 20th Serie A match against Inter. He's won seven, drawn six and lost six of his previous games.

Roberto Mancini has taken on Roma in the league on 17 occasions, winning six, drawing six and losing five.

The two managers have done battle on 13 occasions. The record so far reads six Mancini wins, four draws and three Spalletti victories.

REFEREE AND DISCIPLINE

Only Napoli have committed fewer fouls than Inter (353 versus 390) and received fewer bookings than Roma (50 versus 63) this season.

Daniele Orsato has taken charge of 157 Serie A matches so far, including 12 in the 2015/16 season. Orsato has officiated 19 games involving Roma, with the Giallorossi winning eight, drawing eight and losing just three of them.

One of those defeats was against Inter, while the Nerazzurri and Giallorossi have also played out one draw under Orsato.

Inter have won ten of 20 Serie A matches under Orsato, drawing five and losing the other five.
