MILAN – Inter Under 17 Serie A and B secured a 2-0 win over Cesena in their rearranged Week 17 match at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti on Wednesday. The victory means the Nerazzurri draw level with Atalanta at the top of the table on 44 points.
Gianmario Corti’s men took just seven minutes to open the scoring, Vitali lobbing the Cesena goalie for 1-0. Inter came close to doubling their lead 12 minutes later through Spaviero, whose rasping shot from the edge of the area fizzed just past the post, but the Nerazzurri were in fact made to wait until the dying moments to get their second, Sala stabbing home a rebound to put the result beyond doubt.
