MILAN – Scorer of the goal that broke the deadlock against Sampdoria, Danilo D'Ambrosio was pleased that Inter managed to get back to winning ways.
"We just had to get a result today. There wasn't an easy atmosphere at San Siro and we struggled at the start. After 1-0 we relaxed a bit.
"We were missing a sense of calmness and you could see that. The only thing that matters in football is winning. Results allow you to train in peace and tackle every moment of the match with positivity.
"It's important for me to give it my all when I step out onto the pitch, I managed to do that today.
"The decision to shut ourselves away for a training camp should be respected. Based on the result, obviously you'll say that it was useful.
"In any case, there would have been commitment from the players tonight, we are a strong and united group."
