VECCHI: "GAME WAS WITHIN OUR GRASP"

Primavera coach reacts to the 1-1 draw at home to Cagliari

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - "Their late equaliser owed more to chance than naivety. That can happen when you launch a long ball into the box at the death. They got in ahead of us." Here's what Stefano Vecchi had to say after his side were stunned by a late equaliser at home to Cagliari.

"We regret not scoring a second," continued the Primavera coach. "That said, we nearly made it 2-1 with the last kick of the game. We played against a very good side but we've dropped two points. We had the game within our grasp."

Inter will be back in action at the Breda against Lazio in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg on Tuesday: "We've trained and prepared to play two games in quick succession. From a psychological perspective, this draw is a blow. Let's hope we're more clinical on Tuesday."

Finally, a word on Pinamonti's fine strike, his fifth of the campaign: "He's got a big future and he gets the team playing too. He is able to draw opposition players towards him and he's a complete forward, aside from his goals."
