APPIANO GENTILE – It was Nerazzurri forward Jonathan Biabiany’s turn to answer questions sent in by fans via social media today as he visited the Inter Channel studios in Appiano Gentile. During the session, the Frenchman touched on a variety of issues, from his return to Inter to his health problems and Inter’s current form.
"When Inter contacted me again I was very happy after not playing for six months. They were very kind to let me train with them even before we’d signed a contract," declared Biabiany.
The winger, who was forced to stop playing for a spell after the discovery of a heart problem, then spoke of his health issues: "I’ve never had any ill-effects. I showed patience and waited for the right time to return. It’s better to not play for a bit longer than to take risks."
Biabiany was also asked about Inter’s current league standing: "I think Inter should be fighting for the Scudetto every year, we’re one of the biggest clubs in Italy and Europe. Seeing yourself at the top of the table makes you feel even stronger and we have an excellent group."
Asked why he’d chosen the No. 11 shirt, Biabiany replied: "It’s the number I wore back in my Primavera days."
One fan asked Biabiany to cast his mind back to 2010, when he scored the third goal in Inter’s 3-0 FIFA Club World Cup final triumph: "I’d linked up with Inter after a year in Serie A with Parma. Playing with those amazing players was great for me – it was a chance to learn from quality players who had won everything."
You can see the full interview with Jonathan Biabiany during InterNos on Inter Channel at 21:00 CET tonight.
