MILAN - Technical assistant Sylvinho says Inter have set their sights on securing three points against Palermo at the weekend after tasting derby success in the Berlusconi Trophy this evening.
"Inter always play to win even when it's a friendly," he told journalists after the San Siro contest. "We needed a game like this to try out some of the lads who aren't playing so much, so it was a useful exercise and we're happy."
Next up for Inter is a trip to Sicily and Palermo and Roberto Mancini's technical assistant knows Giuseppe Iachini's side will be no pushovers: "It's going to be tough as it's no easy place to go. But we'll head there looking to play good football and get the three points."
The former Brazilian full-back then brushed off any title talk before offering his view on Geoffrey Kondogbia.
"There's no time to think about winning the Scudetto now. We're just taking each game as it comes and moving forward one step at a time."
As for the French midfielder who joined from Monaco in the summer, Sylvinho carried on: "Players always need time when they are new and have come in from another league. He's making good progress and has bags of quality."
