MILAN – After two weeks on the sidelines, Joao Miranda returned to the Nerazzurri starting line-up against Hellas Verona and played his part in keeping another clean sheet for Roberto Mancini's side – their fourth in five league outings so far this season.
After the match, the Seleção centre-back admitted that Inter found it hard to break down their defensive opponents at the Meazza tonight.
"It was a difficult game. When teams come to San Siro they always try to batten down the hatches but we battled as a team and got the all-important goal we needed to take home the three points," he told Inter Channel.
The Brazilian then commented on his return to action after recovering from a knee injury: "It's hard when you're sitting out so just coming back feels like a victory in itself. I'm happy with these three points but now we must carry on like this."
