The 2015/16 Inter Academy season kicked off on 1 September in the Gulf country

DAMMAM – There was no hanging around at Inter Academy Saudi Arabia as everyone got back down to work on the first day of September.

The two coaches Andrea Ratti and Valerio Candido, alongside coordinator Aldo Montinaro, were enthusiastically welcomed by the 60 young participants on the pitches of the Sporti Complex.

Last year’s calendar was jam-packed for the youthful Saudi athletes and their local coaches, giving them ten months of intensive work both at home and in Italy. Nevertheless, the sights have been set even higher this year.

Inter’s coaches will be working in the country for the entire season in order to support the aim of launching new Soccer Schools in other districts of Dammam which will help feed the Elite Academy in Aziziyah.

They’ve also been tasked with consolidating relations between Sporti and the Saudi Aramco Youth Soccer Organization (SAYSO) with an eye towards organising summer camps, which last year involved more than 800 boys and girls playing football.

The success of Inter Academy Saudi Arabia is generating a lot of interest from other countries in the Gulf region. There’s been an influx of requests to open new Academies in countries ranging from Bahrain to Kuwait, which the management team at F.C. Internazionale is currently evaluating.
