MILAN – "Nothing beats being there. Forza Inter forever!" You can take Javier Zanetti's word for it.
The Inter vice president was at San Siro this afternoon to chat to fans who had come along to book their seat at the Meazza for next season.
"I saw so much enthusiasm," he told Inter Channel. "There were Inter fans who had come from all over Italy. It just shows you once again how passionate our supporters are. Their passion is the same as ours; it's a brilliant relationship we have."
Zanetti also had a quick word for two recent arrivals at the club.
"I'm so happy about Stankovic's return. Deki is like a brother to me. He's written Inter history and he'll be a massive help to us."
The former Nerazzurri skipper's final comment was for the star of the day, Geoffrey Kondogbia: "The fans are excited because they can see the future is bright. Our management team deserve great credit for the work they're doing. We're doing everything possible to get us challenging at the top again from next year."
