SAVONA – Stefano Vecchi’s Primavera side are out of the 2014/15 Final Eight stage after a 2-1 extra-time defeat to Lazio. The Nerazzurri dominated large swathes of the game, but had to wait until the 61st minute to take the lead through a Michele Rocca header.
As time wore on, it looked as if Vecchi’s men would be marching on to the semis, but Rossi headed home on 85 minutes to force extra-time, and it was Lazio who came through the additional period victorious after Palombi’s 114th-minute strike.
