HANDANOVIC: "DISAPPOINTED WITH THE DRAW"

"We wanted to win at all costs, we’re not happy with a 0-0 draw," said the Slovenian stopper after today’s match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

MILAN – Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic spoke to the media after the Nerazzurri’s 0-0 draw with Chievo Verona at San Siro this afternoon.

Handanovic was clearly disappointed with the result: "We wanted to win at all costs and at the end were pushing forward so much we were leaving ourselves open at the back. We’re not happy with the draw.

"They sat back and we weren’t able to step up the pace. We lacked a bit of aggressiveness. Sometimes you win these matches through sheer strength more than good football. The results show that we struggle against teams who come here and shut up shop.  Chievo and Parma came here with nothing to lose and made sure there was no space at all.

"Having said that, let’s not give up despite the disappointment. Other teams have better chances of qualifying for the Europa League but let’s just see what happens. Nothing is lost yet," declared Handanovic.
