MILAN – It was an evening of celebration at Botinero restaurant to rejoice in the Primavera's conquest of the Viareggio Cup.
Javier Zanetti played host as Primavera coach Stefano Vecchi and his backroom staff were joined by managing director Marco Fassone, sporting director Piero Ausilio, youth academy director Roberto Samaden and president Erick Thohir, who was extremely keen to attend the event after watching Bonazzoli, Sciacca (who came back especially from international duty) and the rest of the team in training this afternoon.
Isaac Donkor was there to represent the first team: the defender came through the Nerazzurri youth ranks and is now the Primavera's number one fan.
Also invited were former Primavera coaches Fulvio Pea, Vincenzo Esposito, and Corrado Verdelli, who guided Inter to their last three Carnival Cup triumphs in 2011, 2008 and 2002 respectively.
President Thohir wished the Nerazzurri youngsters good luck for the rest of the season and expressed his hope that in future the Primavera team might also fly be able to fly the Inter flag abroad on tours similar to those the first team go on.
