MILAN – The Brooks Brothers and Inter came together today as four Nerazzurri stars were in attendance at the store in Via San Pietro all’Orto, Milan. One of them, Mateo Kovacic, made use of the occasion to say a few words to the press on the recent Roma match, his future, new boss Roberto Mancini and Sunday’s clash with Udinese.
"It was a tough match on Sunday – Roma are a strong team. We scored twice, but it wasn’t enough. However, the players realised straight away that Mancini is a champion. He makes us work hard, but it’s more enjoyable on the pitch. The first thing he said was: 'We are Inter'," began the Nerazzurri midfielder.
Kovacic went on to talk about his own future: "We’re still talking and I have a contract until 2017. Things are going well and I’m happy. I’m already at a big club. I’m still young, and I can learn a lot from Mancini. I like the fact that the fans have high expectations of me. We need to play as a team to return to the top. We have a new project now, and you can’t build a team in six months, it could take two or three years."
Finally, the Croatian gave his view on this coming Sunday’s match: "I’m going to see Stankovic and Stramaccioni again on Sunday, so that will be a great feeling. Both helped me a lot: Stramaccioni brought me to Italy and I speak to Stankovic very often."
