PINZOLO - Renè Krhin and Tommaso Berni were officially unveiled to the media this morning in the press room at Pinzolo's Centro Sportivo La Pineta.
Here are the thoughts of the two Nerazzurri players:
Tommaso, what's it like coming back to Inter after all these years?
"Good morning everyone. I've come home, as Inter was my first professional experience away from my home town Florence. I've joined a tight-knit group with some top players and everyone is keen to perform well. I'll do whatever the coach needs me to and I'll give it everything."
Renè, in which system do you feel more comfortable, a 3-5-2 or a potential 4-3-2-1?
"I'd always heard good things about Mazzarri. He knows how to set up his team and looks after every last detail. Everyone knows their role, and it's proved what people told me about him. I often play in front of the defence but I can also operate in central midfield, somewhere I played a lot last season. Do I expect to play? We'll need everyone this year and I'll try to make the most of every opportunity I'm given."
Tommaso, you're famous for being a great saver of penalties. Handanovic is one of the best around when it comes to stopping spot-kicks...
"I hope to save a few and pick up a few things from Handanovic because he's one of the best and you never stop learning."
Tommaso, you're 31 now, so you're at the perfect age for a goalkeeper. What do you think you can bring to the club and why did you agree to come back to Inter knowing you would be 3rd choice?
"I'm sure that if we all give it everything between Tuesday and Sunday we will achieve great things. My experiences abroad taught me the importance of hard work. I believe I am someone who always wants to improve and be ready every Sunday. I couldn't say no when Inter came calling, it's an incredible privilege to wear these colours."
Renè, you left just before the treble. How has the team changed since Mourinho was at the club?
"I've joined and there are some top players here and a great team. We can bring more success, why not?"
What did you learn from the last few years at Bologna?
"Bologna were very patient with me. I couldn't find any consistency, then I managed to play regularly over the last two years. I learned to pick myself up again after every setback."
Renè, do you not think you might have been better off spending another season on loan and playing more football?
"Another year out on loan certainly wouldn't have done any harm but if you get the chance to come back to Inter, as Tommaso said, you don't think twice. It's exciting what they're doing with young players and I'm very happy. I wouldn't change my mind."
Tommaso, what do you make of Cerci?
"He's a lovely bloke and a consummate professional. I hope his future gets sorted out soon."
Renè, how did you feel after Bologna went down?
"I'm very disappointed about Bologna getting relegated. I'm gutted for the city and the great people there. We had a good team, then things happened that went against us and what can I tell you? I'm really sorry."
