JUAN JESUS: "I FEEL THE FANS' BACKING"

Brazilian defender to Mediaset: "I really appreciated all the messages of support I received following my injury last season. I've got their backing"

PINZOLO - Juan Jesus spoke to SportMediaset following the Nerazzurri's fourth training session in Val Rendena.

The hard work starts now...
"Absolutely. We needed that to get off on the right foot."

You've worked very hard this summer to come back from injury and be ready. You've really shown how much this club means to you.
"I tried to do as many training sessions as I could, working morning, noon - and occasionally - night to come here in the best possible shape."

A back three or four?
"Whatever the coach decides is fine by us."

We've heard that you're rooming with Vidic up here. How's he settling in? Are you able to communicate yet?
"Good! He tries to speak a little Italian, I try a little English and we have a real laugh. But it's all going great."

You must be happy to have Dodò around, someone you knew already...
"We played together in the national team. Although he's young he's a great player and I think he can do very well here."

We also know you're good mates with Pato, someone who's been linked heavily with a move in the last few days. Is it true that he wants to come back to Italy?
"I've read the papers too. I know he wants to come back to Europe because that's where he developed."

Were you at all surprised by the weight of support you got from the Nerazzurri fans?
"I like the fans, I always have done. I really appreciated all the messages of support I received following my injury last season. I've got their backing"

Can Inter qualify for the Champions League?
"It's still too early to tell, we're in Pinzolo and we need to work every day to get Inter to the top."
