JONATHAN: "WE'LL MAKE THINGS RIGHT AGAINST UDINESE"

"In the dressing room we were disappointed but relaxed, since the fans applauded us at the end. We’ll be focused against Udinese"

MILAN – After the match against Atalanta, Nerazzurri defender Jonathan gave a few statements to Inter Channel.

This is what he had to say:

"I was expecting a tough game because they have quality up front. After the equaliser we played a great match. They had chances as we did, but the ball just didn’t want to go in. Look at how we hit the woodwork three times. Towards the end of the game our concentration dropped and we saw Atalanta score.

"I saw the keeper coming out so I tried to chip him. It was a game we could have won, but now we’ll have to use the next one to make things right. After our goal we pushed them back. We passed the ball around and managed the game, but they did well to close down all the spaces.

"There was disappointment in the dressing room, but we were also relaxed because our fans applauded us after the final whistle. We know losing is part of football. In the next game, against Udinese, we hope to start out focused from the opening whistle. We have three days to prepare well and talk with the coach in order to avoid the mistakes we made today.

"During half-time the coach told Cambiasso to get the ball to me more because I had a lot of space. Then in the second half I was getting more of the ball but it’s a shame I wasn’t able to take full advantage of those situations. Guaro and I have a good understanding between us. He always knows where I want the ball and he always gives it to me in the right way. We’ll keep trying to do even more for the team. He also had a chance to score today but couldn't quite manage it."
