WASHINGTON D.C. - D.C. United have announced that they have appointed Enzo Concina as assistant coach. Concina will remain an Inter scout, having previously worked as assistant coach at Napoli between 2010 and 2013.

"Enzo will add a wealth of experience and knowledge to our staff," said D.C. United Head Coach Ben Olsen. "We are extremely pleased that he has joined our coaching staff."

Concina, a duel citizen of Italy and Canada, played professionally in Italy for 12 seasons before playing his last season in Canada in the American Professional Soccer League.

While in Italy, he played for Ravenna, Cesena, Pavia, Piacenza, Monza, S.S. Nola and Forlì. Concina made his international debut with Canada in a July 1988 friendly match against Poland and immediately scored his first goal. In total, he earned four caps with Canada, including the 1993 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
