Gasperini set for 200th game in charge of Genoa
Gian Piero Gasperini takes his place in the Genoa dugout for the 200th time in a competitive fixture today. His record from the first 199 matches (137 in Serie A, 42 in Serie B, 12 in the Coppa Italia and 8 in European competition) stands at 87 wins, 46 draws and 66 defeats. Gasperini's first time at the helm of the Rossoblu was on 19 August 2006: Genoa 3-2 Spezia in the Coppa Italia.
Genoa goalless at home to Inter in 455 minutes
Genoa have not scored against Inter on home turf since 19 March 2008, when Borriello made it 1-1 in the 85th minute of a Serie A fixture. Since then, the Rossoblu have failed to open up the Nerazzurri in 455 minutes: the remaining five minutes of that match plus the five following meetings, four of which were won by Inter: 2-0 in 2008/09, 5-0 in 2009/10, 1-0 in 2010/11 and 2011/12, and a 0-0 draw in 2012/13.

Differing spot-kick fortunes for Genoa and Inter
The Rossoblu, joint with Fiorentina, have been awarded more penalties (6) than any other team in this season's Serie A campaign, while the Nerazzurri are still yet to shoot from 12 yards (like Chievo). It's a particularly incredible statistic for Inter given that they boast the league's second best attack (37 goals). Their last penalty was taken (and missed) by Alvarez in Inter 1-3 Lazio, 21 matchdays ago.
Inter dry on the road for 225 minutes
Mazzarri's men have not hit the net away from Milan in 225 minutes. Nagatomo was the last scorer in the 45th minute of Napoli 4-2 Inter on 15 December. The second half at the San Paolo and subsequent games at Lazio (1-0) and Udinese (1-0 in the Coppa Italia) have seen the Nerazzurri draw only blanks.

Inter are the Serie A side that has scored the most goals in the 15-minute spell at the start of the second half, notching eight goals between the 46th and 60th minutes.

Gian Piero Gasperini and Walter Mazzarri have faced off in opposite dugouts six times in competitive fixtures before today, with results in perfect parity: two wins apiece and two draws (both 0-0).
Gasperini v Inter: no wins for ex-Nerazzurri boss against Inter, but heaviest career defeat
Previous match-ups between Gian Piero Gasperini, as a coach, and Inter (the club he led from July to September 2011 without winning a competitive match, one draw and four defeats) don't offer pretty reading for the Genoa tactician. In nine meetings he has recorded three draws and six defeats. Gasperini's heaviest defeat in his professional coaching career also came at the hands of Inter: his Genoa were whitewashed 0-5 in a league encounter at the Marassi on 17 October 2009. His teams have not scored at all against Inter since 13 January 2009 (3-1 after extra time in San Siro). Since Rossi's 79th minute strike, his sides have failed to muster a goal against the Nerazzurri in 491 minutes (41 in that cup game plus five more matches).
Mazzarri v Genoa: no draws in Marassi, Mazzarri's teams always score
Walter Mazzarri's record as a coach against Genoa is W8, D3, L4. None of the six meetings in Genoa have ended in a draw: four wins for Mazzarri's charges and two for the Rossoblu, with the Tuscan tactician's sides always registering on the score sheet (10 goals in total).
