INTER CAMPUS: WORK RECOMMENCES AT CEAS

Kids back with the Inter Campus coaches after the Christmas break

MILAN - Inter Campus was back at CEAS in Milan's Parco Lambro this week, following the Christmas break. The 30 children of different ethnic backgrounds - mostly Roma but also Moroccans, Poles, Turks and Italians - gathered with Inter Campus instructors Paolo and Andrea, as well as the CEAS volunteers. After years of work the kids come ready to the pitch with their Nerazzurri shirts on, albeit with several layers on underneath to fight the cold. Their parents have also realised the importance of sport and they make sure their children turn up on time and participate actively.

The second half of the season also sees the consolidation of the work done on a daily basis by the 'Villaggio Solidale' founded by Don Colmegna and Inter Campus' efforts towards their shared goals: the Villaggio helps to promote physical well-being, enjoyment, technique and tactics through sport. It also teaches the kids to respect rules, their team-mates, use the Italian language and to listen. Here football is used to bring people together, allowing the kids to play together and make lasting friendships.
