ZANETTI ON THE DERBY: "READY TO PULL OUT ALL THE STOPS"

The skipper spoke to RaiSport: "We'll leave nothing to chance. We must be alert and focused, defending and attacking with 11 men"

APPIANO GENTILE – "The derby is the derby. It's always a really big thing for all of us," Javier Zanetti told RaiSport in an interview ahead of tomorrow's Derby della Madonnina. "Unfortunately we lost to Napoli even though we played well and now we'll have to cope without Alvarez too. But we'll do everything we can to put on a top performance and get back to winning ways."

The captain went on: "The game affects the whole city, it's a game that makes history and if you win it you send out a strong message. How do you win it? By pulling out all the stops, not leaving anything to chance and playing with heart."

Zanetti was then asked what Inter need to do to reduce the number of goals they're letting in. "We must be really alert and focused, all 11 of us. You defend with 11 men and you attack with 11 men. We're working hard to learn from our mistakes."

It was put to the Argentine veteran that tomorrow will be the first derby for nearly two decades without Massimo Moratti as president. He commented: "But Moratti is still with us, he's our number one fan."

The Nerazzurri's Week 17 fixture will see them facing Mario Balotelli and Ricardo Kakà. "Two fantastic players. Mario was still growing when he was here with us but he still helped us to win. Now I'll see him again and he's a star just like Kakà. It's going to be a great challenge."
