MILAN - (Football Data) Inter have already scored 27 goals after 11
league matches so far this 2013/14 Serie A season. It’s a record in Italian
top-flight football over these past 4 seasons, and in order to find a better
start than this, one must go back to 2009/10, when it was once again Inter with
28 goals scored.
Rodrigo Palacio, who last Sunday opened the scoring in Inter’s 3-0 win over
Udinese, struck for his seventh goal of the season and became the most decisive
player of the league campaign so far (along with Juventus’ Arturo Vidal), as
Inter have racked up 10 points thanks to the goals from the Argentine forward.
And finally, we look at Andrea Ranocchia, who became the eleventh Nerazzurri
player to find the net this season. Only Roma have as many players in their
squad with a goal to their name in 2013/14. Ranocchia’s goal was also the first
one scored by an Italian player for Inter in this current league campaign.
