PALACIO: "INTER V JUVE ALWAYS A BIG OCCASION, EVEN IN THE STATES"

Argentine striker looks ahead to tomorrow's meeting with the Bianconeri in Miami: "We're working hard, our legs are heavy but we must keep on as we are"

NEW JERSEY – As Inter start working towards their third and final fixture in the Guinness International Champions Cup – an all-Italian affair against Juventus – Rodrigo Palacio shared his thoughts with Inter Channel about what it means to be playing such a traditional fixture so far away.

"It's always a big occasion when you play Juventus and hopefully we'll do well. Neither side has done brilliantly in their recent friendlies and that just goes to show how difficult it is to manage a heavy workload and obtain results straight away. We've been working very hard and our legs are heavy but we have to keep on the way we are."

How does Palacio find playing as a second striker in Walter Mazzarri's 3-5-1-1 formation? "I'm enjoying it. Of course I still need to adjust to playing in that position but the gaffer is giving me loads of advice - he's always pointing out what I should do and where I can improve."

The playing surface wasn't great at Lucas Oil Stadium or at MetLife Stadium. "No, they weren't in the best condition but the most important thing is that we keep getting minutes under our belts so we can hit the ground running when the league campaign kicks off.

"Three games in five days? Yeah, it's a lot. But we just have to get on with it and keep working as we have been."
