CORDOBA ON SKY: "THIS IS WHERE WE START BUILDING THE NEW INTER"

Team manager speaking from Pinzolo: "The coach has been very clear with everyone and has got it into them what he's after. Hard work pays off"

PINZOLO – Ivan Cordoba chatted to Sky Sport 24 this evening on the day Inter arrived in Pinzolo for their summer training camp. The Colombian is embarking on his second year as Nerazzurri team manager and has become an important point of reference, both for the players and the club. He's ready for a fresh start and has very clear ideas about where Inter are going. Just like Walter Mazzarri and his players, who carried out their first training session at the Stadio La Pineta this afternoon.

"The coach has been very clear with all the players," the team manager explained. "He's got it into them what he's after right from the start. Hard work pays off and the lads are totally up for it. This is where we start building the new Inter."

What about the Scudetto? "We have to go for it. We must give everything we can for this team and be aware of what our potential is, but it's important we get off on the right foot by knuckling down from day one."

On recent transfer rumours: "Lavezzi? I used to enjoy playing against players like that - you had to really be on your toes to mark them. He's a great player and he could do well here. Zuniga? Obviously I'm going to say that I'd like to have him here because I rate him and have known him for a long time. But that doesn't mean anything because I rate lots of Colombians. If he were to join, I think it would be an important step in his career."

Cordoba than took up where Zanetti left off and gave his view on the possibility of an Inter without president Massimo Moratti. "Javier said he can't imagine it? And I can't imagine it any differently to Javier..."
