MORATTI: "NO SEARCH, JUST A REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS"

The full version of the Inter president's statements given to reporters outside his Milan offices

MILAN – Upon exiting his offices in the centre of Milan, Massimo Moratti gave a few statements to awaiting reporters. Here at inter.it we give you the full version of the interview with the Nerazzurri president:

What news can you give us from the club’s headquarters in regard to the search conducted by the Guardia di Finanza [financial police]?
"It wasn’t a search. Just a request for documents. Far from being a search, it’s something they’re doing at forty different clubs, and so it happened to us as well."

As president of such an important football club, what could have given rise to such an investigation involving so many different clubs?
"I just found out about it now. Obviously they have their reasons to pay a visit to all these clubs. It’s not my line of work though, so we’ll know what it’s all about later."

May I ask if the documents in question also regard certain players signed by Inter?
"At Inter they’ll take the documents they’re interested in. At Napoli they’ll take the documents that interest them there. At AC Milan they’ll take the documents that interest them there, and so on."

They’re documents related to the transfer market?
"No. They’re things from the past, I believe. It’s nothing to worry about."

Do Inter have any news as regards this current transfer season? It’s been said that Belfodil is now very close.
"What you journalists are writing in the papers is more or less true."

Another market question: is there an offer from Russia for Andrea Ranocchia?
"No."

And for Samir Handanovic?
"No. Nothing for now."
