NAPOLI 3-1 INTER

Mazzarri's men take home all three points at the Stadio San Paolo thanks to a hat-trick from Cavani

NAPLES - The home side came out on top in the late game in Serie A 2012/13 Week 35. It finished Napoli 3-1 Inter at the Stadio San Paolo thanks to a treble from Edinson Cavani. Inter equipped themselves well despite the defeat, with the Nerazzurri squad still decimated by injury.

The Partenopei took just three minutes to move in front: Cavani took Pandev's nicely-weighted through ball into his stride and finished unerringly past Handanovic. Inter though levelled matters from the spot on 23 minutes. Alvarez was sent tumbling as Zuniga - who escaped a booking - tried in vain to get back. The Argentine duly dispatched the penalty himself. Napoli though retook the lead before the interval thanks to another spot-kick. Zuniga was again involved, this time in the opposition penalty area, as he went down under challenge with Jonathan. Cavani found the back of the net from twelve yards for his 100th goal in Napoli colours.

The Nerazzurri were still very much in the match until Cavani sealed his hat-trick twelve minutes from time. The Uruguayan started a move on the break, playing it forward to Pandev. The Macedonian then sent a teasing ball across and 'El Matador' was on hand to slide the ball into the back of the net. It finished Napoli 3-1 Inter.
