CUBAN KIDS WELCOME INTER CAMPUS STAFF

Visit to Las Tunas, where the project set up in 2004 with PNUD and Asociacion de Futbol Cubana continues

LAS TUNAS – The oriental province of Las Tunas was the first area in Cuba to be identified by Inter Campus as a location for the Nerazzurri social programme, and a centre was set up there in 2004 with the help of the United Nations Development Programme and the Asociacion de Futbol de Cuba.

Eight years on, the project has expanded to include centres in Holguin, Granma and Havana. Inter Campus technical director Aldo Montinaro and coaches Alberto Giacomini and Gabriele Raspelli returned to Las Tunas recently as part of the project's ongoing monitoring and training process. The Inter Campus party were given a wonderful reception by the 60 kids taking part in the programme and the local trainers who had come from the various Inter Campus centres across the Cuban territory

The week's activities included theory and hands-on sessions for the local trainers and afternoon games for the children, all happily dressed in Nerazzurri shirts. Their commitment, joy, smiles and emotions can be seen in our pictures below.
