After having arrived in Yaounde, our coaches Alberto and Lorenzo travelled 14
hours by train to Ngaoundere, on the Adamaoua plateau, where they were able to
conduct a training course for 60 coaches and instructors from across the area,
as well as from the desert region of Garoua.
In an enthusiastic atmosphere, the theoretical lectures, preceded by both Christian
and Muslim prayers (demonstrating the coexistence of both religions), were
followed by practical lessons on the pitch with the children of two local
chapters of the project. The dry season and its dusty wind did not interfere
with the action or the joy of the children as they proudly played in their new
Inter kits.
At the end of the session there was a comprehension test on the lessons undertaken and the coaches showed even more awareness of their importance to the local project. The next stop in this country for Inter Campus will take place in the summer, possibly in Mbalmayo.
