STRAMACCIONI: "INTER MUST TAKE CONTROL OF GAMES"

"We have to get back to doing that, think like a big team and play like Inter"

APPIANO GENTILE – "We need to start taking control of games again." Andrea Stramaccioni spoke in a confident, determined manner as he looked ahead to tomorrow's match at the Meazza against Chievo, scheduled to kick off at 20:45.

The Nerazzurri coach went on: "That's the basic idea, regardless of which formation we go with. We must be in control of games for the whole 90 minutes again. Show the quality to get at the opposition and cause problems for them, think like a big team."

Stramaccioni knows what he wants from his players, and the players want it too as they prepare to face a side that "in the reverse fixture earlier this season showed how organised they are, although it was under a different coach. Then Corini came in and he's given them an even stronger identity and made them more compact. They won in Rome, they were in it right up to the end against Juve. They're a team that deserves respect.

"We've gone through a run of games in which we didn't play like Inter. Tomorrow we must play like Inter. It's up to us to take the game to our opponents and put them under pressure. I don't want to see a repeat of what happened at Siena, and nor do the players. We've put Siena behind us. It's our duty to do battle on the pitch right till the very end - that's what you expect from Inter."
