2012 SPECIAL: BROTHERS OF THE WORLD, IN INDONESIA

Six days in Jakarta, two friendlies won and the affection of 15 million fans

MILAN - Inter landed in Indonesia on 23 May 2012 for their end-of-season tour and immediately discovered the country's incredible passion for Nerazzurri colours.

Jakarta hosted Inter for six days and two friendly matches at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, which were both won by Inter. And although the opposition was the Indonesia national team and a selection of Under-23s playing in the local league, an entire population cheered our players in victory.

The love for our colours really does know no boundaries. That much is clear from the number of Inter fans in Indonesia: close to 15 million. An extraordinary figure. But after all, as our history teaches us, we have always been brothers of the world. United in diversity, which is also true for Indonesia, whose national motto is 'Bhineka Tunggal Ika', or 'Unity in Diversity'.
