2012 SPECIAL: INDONESIA IN BLACK AND BLUE

Inter Museum, coaching clinics with the players, TV shows with millions of viewers - a whole country mad about Inter

MILAN - Five thousand delirious fans greeted the Nerazzurri players as they arrived at Jakarta's Soekarno Hatta Airport. A totally unexpected display of affection that went straight to the lads' hearts.

There were plenty of occasions - besides the two friendly matches at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium - for Inter to experience what was a phenomenal show of support: a throng of people visiting the Inter Museum outside the stadium, kids taking part in the coaching clinics run with the help of the players, millions of viewers watching an episode of Master Chef with Paolo Orlandoni and Luca Castellazzi making guest appearances, the 15,000 members of Inter Club Indonesia, renamed Inter Club Massimo Moratti to celebrate the team's visit to Jakarta.

The peak of it all was surely when 100 million TV viewers tuned in to watch the live recording of Indonesian Idol Javier Zanetti giving his own rendition of Eros Ramazzotti's Più bella cosa. The East is black and blue.
