PIATRA NEAMT - Luca Castellazzi played a big role in keeping a clean sheet for the Nerazzurri this evening against Vaslui, making a great save from N'Doye. "I just got my fingertips to the ball," he explained to Inter Channel. "It was a great strike and a great save, luckily, because it came at a time when our opponents were just beginning to push forward. We're all very happy, it was a tricky away trip, European games are never easy and they're never easy to win. We've set things up nicely for the return leg, by being solid and compact. We gave everything to ensure we didn't concede, we defended well for the first 70 minutes, leaving very little space and we saw the benefits of that."
Castellazzi also explained how best to approach the second leg at the Stadio Meazza on 30 August: "As if we need to come from behind because we've seen that there are no longer inexperienced sides. They all want to show what they can do at the San Siro and this gives us a lot of motivation. Plus we owe it to our fans. Although the home defeat to Hajduk didn't cost us, we still need to show what we're made of."
