MILAN - Thirteen years with Inter, 454 games, 18 goals: this is how Ivan Cordoba is signing off, with these numbers and with a fantastic derby victory. Here are his comments to Inter Channel: "First of all, thanks. Thanks to the team that gave me the opportunity to end this way, with my people, with my family and with this wonderful victory. It wasn't easy to make this decision but I'm happy to have concluded in this way. And thanks to president Moratti for having given me the possibility to play with this team."
Cordoba recalled: "I've received so many surprises today, one after the other. I'm happy. I didn't want to take up so much time with such an important match, but I'm truly happy. The embraces of my team-mates, the president, the warmth of the fans. I couldn't have asked for more."
Then he glanced toward the future: "The first part of this story is over. Now we'll see what I'll do when I grow up… I've always said this, but I'd still like to give my contribution to this club. But we'll see. Now my family deserves to have a dad who's all in one piece, who's with them. As we said, it's the beginning of another chapter that I hope is very important; equally important. Thanks, thanks to everyone."
