MILAN – With Inter v Genoa the first league goal of the season also arrived for Mauro Zarate, who spoke to Inter Channel, explaining: "The coach gave me confidence, and because of this my head was already in a different place. And then physically professor Rapetti was excellent this week and the results showed on the pitch."
Zarate, who knew how to wait, took advantage of the opportunity in the best possible way: "I was ready for a game. I knew that sooner or later the moment would come. The coach saw that I was ready. In three or four words he told me that it was my turn and we understood each other immediately. I'm happy to play on both the left and the right. On the left I can move inside and shoot on goal, and on the right it's easier to cut, which is also important."
Regarding the future, here is what the Argentine attacker is expecting: "Much more action in attack, hopefully lots of goals and the possibility of helping the team win like today. We let in four goals but we scored five and therefore we realised one thing: Inter must attack."
