STRAMACCIONI: "DINNER JACKETS OFF, CLUBS OUT"

"In the dressing room I said to the lads that we needed fewer frills and more clout"

MILAN - This is what Andrea Stramaccioni had to say to Inter Channel following the U-19s 4-2 win over Cesena in Week 20 of the Campionato Primavera: "After conceding the equaliser before half time, Inter went back out after the interval absolutely determined to win this game. Basically, what I said to the lads in the dressing room during the break was that we needed fewer frills and more punch. We looked like a top team in the first 30 minutes and we in complete control of the match. Then, and this is the beauty of this game, you get a penalty awarded against you then you are pegged level again after losing the ball in incredible fashion. It's like being in a nightmare."

"I'm sure that a few months ago Inter wouldn't have won this match, so the thing that pleased me the most was seeing how determined we are to win games now. We took off our dinner jacket and picked up the club."

Were the players affected by the occasion, this being the inaugural match on the new pitch? "Maybe we did feel it a bit, and perhaps the two substitutions due to injuries in the first half did limit my choices somewhat, but as I said in the first 30 minutes we really did play like a big team. It's a shame about a some the yellow cards handed about a bit too hastily but we're behind the match officials." Yellow cards that mean Romanò and Livaja will miss next Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Albinoleffe. Stramaccioni admitted: "Yes it is a shame but for us what the referee says is law. We are Inter and we'll move on with our heads held high."
