MILAN - "We're hugely disappointed after what we did in this game - a strange game. I think Inter and Palermo both did everything they could to win this match and in the end it produced a draw." Javier Zanetti couldn't hide his regret about what might have been three points in an encounter that neither side won but that offered a great spectacle at the Meazza.
Asked about the pitch, the captain explained, "It influenced things a lot. I don't know how many teams could have played this type of game but the Lega - and the referee in particular - decided to play so we played. It's true that there were no injuries but it was a huge risk on a pitch that is bad even when the weather conditions aren't as severe as they were tonight."
The captain is already thinking about Roma: "We expect a tough game and it will be even trickier because they've just lost while we weren't able to win tonight. Both sides will be determined to win."
