STATS: MILITO'S FIRST FOUR-GOAL HAUL IN ITALY

The Prince's previous best was three hat-tricks for Genoa; he has now scored against Palermo 11 times

MILAN - (Stats by Football Data) Diego Milito struck four goals in a single game for the first time tonight. His previous best goal haul was a hat-trick, which he managed three times while playing for Genoa.

His first hat-trick came at the Stadio Marassi  on 22 May 2004 in Serie B (Genoa 4-2 Cagliari), the second on 9 November 2008 (Serie A, Genoa 4-0 Reggina), and the third on 3 May 2009 in the local derby (Serie A, Genoa 3-1 Sampdoria). He remains the only player to have scored a hat-trick in the Derby della Lanterna.

With his four goals this evening, Milito now has 11 against Palermo, now by far his favourite target since he's been playing for Italian clubs.

The last time a Nerazzurri player hit four in a league game was on 1 December 2002, when Christian Vieri scored all the goals in Inter 4-0 Brescia.
