APPIANO GENTILE - Davide Santon underwent arthroscopic surgery on the external meniscus in his right knee at the San Matteo hospital in Pavia this morning.
The operation, performed by orthopaedic clinic director Franco Benazzo in collaboration with his staff and Inter's chief of medical staff Franco Combi, lasted less than 45 minutes and was a complete success.
Santon, who sustained the knee injury during the first half of Luxembourg U21 v Italy U21, will begin a course of physiotherapy in the coming days.
