MILAN - Inter dominated Saturday evening's Serie A Week 9 clash with Lazio at the San Siro but have to settle for a point after the Biancocelesti snatched a late equaliser.

Julio Cruz and Ze Maria had diagonal shots saved by Sereni in the opening forty-five, while Lazio were at their most dangerous from counter attacks and their best chance fell to Filippini, who fired wide from an inviting position after a darting run by Pandev.

Adriano broke the deadlock in the first minute of the second period with his seventh goal in the Serie A this season. The Brazilian collected a long ball forward from Mihajlovic, raced on goal then sent a left-footed thunderbolt in at the near post.

Against the run of play Lazio drew level with six minutes remaining. From forty yards out on the right wing Fernando Couto sent his free kick over to the far post where Talamonti outjumped Mihajlovic and headed past Fontana.

Second-half sub Alvaro Recoba could have won the match for Inter a minute after Lazio's equaliser but his free kick from the right side of the Biancocelesti box came back off the crossbar. Mihajlovic's follow-up shot was well-saved by Sereni.

Inter take on Valencia at the Meazza this coming Tuesday evening in Matchday 4 of the Uefa Champions League.
