APPIANO GENTILE - With Charly Rexach poised to take over as interim head coach of
Barcelona, Nerazzurri wing-back Francesco Coco commented about his former boss at
the Catalan club.
Coco said, "Rexach is an excellent person. He grew up at and has always worked at
Barça. For us last year he was like a father. He had an exceptional relationship
with everyone. He reminds me of Cesare Maldini, with whom I had an excellent
relationship based above all on the personal aspect. If Rexach returns it will be
even more difficult to face them in the two Champions League matches. They will be
even more determined, and then we know that a change of coach always leaves its
mark."
