MORATTI: "I'M VERY HAPPY FOR VIERI, WHO SHOWED GREAT AGILITY, AND FOR BATISTUTA."

MILAN - Here's the text of an interview given by Inter president Massimo Moratti this morning in his office in the centre of Milan (1).

With Vieri's hat-trick and Batistuta's debut, it turned out to be a great day for Inter...
Yes, it was very nice. As Inter fans we had to expect the team to try and put things right immediately after the nasty defeat of the previous week. I'm very happy for Vieri, who seemed to move with great agility. He seems renewed, he's playing very well, he moves around the whole pitch and he did some wonderful things yesterday. I'm also happy for Batistuta, who has been welcomed very well in Milan. I think the team has obtained the satisfaction it deserved, even though it's just one championship match. Now we will have to continue in this way.

Vieri played for Batistuta yesterday, especially in the first half. Is it nice that those who represent Inter know how to make the new players feel at ease?
Yes, but I think it's something every player has in common. I remember the match against Parma when Recoba did the same thing with Martins. I think all our players are capable of doing this, above all because they find alongside themselves players who are capable of doing the same, like Batistuta also did yesterday.
