SPALLETTI: "THE TEAM'S UNITY IS A GOOD SIGN"

The Nerazzurri tactician following Inter vs. Atalanta: "We played well, this makes me believe we can achieve our objective"

MILAN - The fixture between Inter and Atalanta at San Siro finished goalless on matchday 31 of the Serie A season. "The match was hard-fought and both sides had their say so we have to accept the result from what happened on the pitch," said Luciano Spalletti after the final whistle. "We played in a compact fashion, putting in a good performance and this is a good sign, one which makes me think that we can achieve our goal.

"The team’s determination and the collaboration between teammates are fundamental. It’s an unpredictable league with peaks and troughs, there’s no coherent pattern. We don’t know what the next results will be so we have to move forward and put in positive performances and get points."

"We were written off before the Derby but managed to win. Lazio seemed to be on the up after their win against us in Milan but have since had difficulties. Roma picked themselves up and got a result yesterday. This draw at home needs to be taken on the chin because the two sides faced each other in an open fashion."

Finally, Spalletti spoke about the Nerazzurri’s injury situation: "Brozovic has a muscle problem (note: he’s injured the flexor muscles in his right thigh), he’ll undergo tests in the upcoming days and won’t be available. We hope to get De Vrij and Lautaro back fit because having more players available allows you to make choices during matches too."
