TURIN - The Nerazzurri’s CEO Sport Giuseppe Marotta spoke to Sky Sport just before Torino vs. Inter in Serie A: "Spalletti’s formation? Our Coach has great tactical acumen. He needs to analyse the players who he has at his disposal, that is a coach’s job."
Marotta was inevitably asked about the transfer market: "It is a situation which ourselves and all the other clubs have to deal with. Sometimes it’s the case that players express their desire for a transfer. Perisic has expressed this wish. On the one hand, there is the need to evaluate if you can make the player happy, but you also have to consider what is best for the club. As regards Perisic, there is nothing concrete yet. When a player expresses their desire in the right way, we will always try to listen. Nevertheless, there is also the need to look after the club’s financial interests. Cerrasco? Ausilio is doing a great job. We are looking at him, but for now nothing concrete is in place."
Lastly, he also discussed Inter’s current spell as a club: "There are great margins for improvement. Positive results always represent an added motivation for everyone, whether that be for the directors, the Coach or the players. Inter have been through some tricky years. Climbing back up isn’t easy, but this is our objective. Today, we must work and look to enhance the sense of belonging to this club. We must improve on this and find players with the right profile, those that are honoured to wear this shirt. We’re all working together with desire and determination. We’re still at an early stage in terms of our journey as a club. The aim for this season is still to confirm Champions League football."
